While attending Fresno State, Destini was an active member of multiple organizations, one of them being the Hispanic Business Student Association where she served as Vice President and Banquet Chair. She was also a research and teaching assistant for the Criminology Department. Her dream to obtain a Juris Doctor Degree resulted from an undergraduate course, “Wrongful Convictions.” She aspires to attend Law School and work as a criminal defense attorney to prevent wrongful convictions like the ones she learned of in that course.
At a very young age, Destini learned the art of baile folklórico, “folkloric dance” and participated in multiple programs including, Grupo Folklórico Baja California Sur, Fresno State’s Mexican Dance program, Los Danzantes de Aztlán, and Grupo Folklorico Tangu Yuu. Throughout her dance career, she has performed internationally in Chile, Argentina, and Mexico. She became fascinated with visiting new countries and her most recent trip was to El Salvador.
Proper Defense is proud to have Destini on our team and to be a part of her career journey. She is a tremendous asset to our firm as well as to our clients. She is bright, bilingual, courteous and compassionate. As our legal receptionist, she is responsible for new client intakes, legal research, translating legal documents, interpreting, organizing case files, and other administrative duties. She is likely the first person you will speak to when you reach out to our office, and she will greet you with hospitality and consideration.
